Where is your hometown?
Philadelphia (Go Birds!). I was born in Philadelphia and grew up in Harleysville, Pennsylvania, which is a suburb of Philadelphia. As an adult, I’ve lived in New York City and Washington, D.C., eventually settling in Chicago a little over 10 years ago.
What led you to Northwestern?
I spent the majority of my career in the association world, and after several years at the American Library Association working with academic libraries and library workers, I decided to move into academia. I also enjoy learning, so working for Feinberg where I could learn about the latest medical advances and innovations was the perfect move for me.
What are you currently working on?
I’m currently working on publishing the second issue of Northwestern Medicine magazine for 2025. I’m also helping different departments within Feinberg develop newsletters by editing their content.
How does your work support the research enterprise at Feinberg?
As a member of the Office of Communications, my work provides valuable information and news about the current research and scientific discoveries going on at Feinberg.
Why do you enjoy working at Northwestern?
I really enjoy working with such a supportive team and people who really care about the work we do at Feinberg and the future of medicine. I also appreciate that I get to tell the stories of investigators, physicians, and faculty at Feinberg, what they’re working on, and what’s in store for the future of medicine.
