I am a faculty member of Northwestern University, and I was a part-time student at the Master of Science in Biostatistics program at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. I got systemic training in biostatistics and epidemiology. Those knowledges greatly enhanced my job as a medical researcher. Additionally, I also met a lot of friendly teachers, staff and classmates in this program.

My experience in the MS program provided a solid foundation for a career in biostatistics. As a student, I had the opportunity to participate in collaborative research, and the faculty were extremely supportive throughout the program and beyond. Now that I am working as a statistical analyst, I fully realize the value of my MS degree and feel that it thoroughly prepared me to be working in this role.

Since the program is normally one year for full-time students, I was initially nervous about how the program would be paced. However, being surrounded by supportive and organized faculty made those worries disappear. I had a fantastic and challenging experience while being a student in the MS-Biostatistics program, and I knew I would be successful after graduating.

Northwestern’s MS in Biostatistics program provides an invaluable combination of a fast-paced and challenging academic environment paired with unrivaled faculty support. I was continually impressed by the faculty’s enthusiasm to discuss ideas or provide advice. Small class sizes and regular check-ins fostered a niche community that was instrumental in guiding me through the program to my career goals.
