Through our cutting-edge master's degree programs, Program in Public Health at the Center for Education in Health Sciences trains the next generation of public health professionals. These innovative, analytically-oriented and highly focused programs are flexible, multifaceted and grounded in the expertise of Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine faculty.

Master of Public Health

Our Master of Public Health (MPH) program offers a variety of concentrations and dual degree options. With the help of partners from Chicago’s many diverse communities, the program provides students with real-world educational experiences and opportunities to work alongside scientists and practitioners in developing approaches to improving population health.

Master of Science in Biostatistics

The Master of Science in Biostatistics (MSB) is a one-year, full-time program that provides graduate biostatistics training for students who intend to plan, direct and execute health research and/or analyze health data. Three concentration options address a variety of student goals: Population Health Analytics, Statistical Bioinformatics and Statistical Methods and Practice.

Master of Science in Epidemiology

The Master of Science in Epidemiology (MS-EPI) is a one-year, full-time master’s program that provides graduate training in epidemiologic research design and analysis for students who want to gain to necessary skills to successfully work in public health and/or clinical epidemiologic research.

The Program in Public Health is proud to have been granted full accreditation by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) through 2025. The final Accreditation Self-Study was developed with active participation from a collaborative group of faculty, staff, students, alumni and other stakeholders.
