Dr. Kim is an Associate Professor in the Ken & Ruth Davee Department of Neurology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She earned her medical doctorate degree from New York University School of Medicine and completed her residency in neurology and a fellowship in neurocritical care at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital/Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Kim joined Northwestern University after completing her fellowship and is currently an attending neurointensivist at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Kim holds core faculty positions at Northwestern’s Center for Circadian and Sleep Medicine (CCSM) and the Center for Applied Health Research on Aging (CAHRA). Her research focuses on the role of sleep and circadian rhythms on cognitive and everyday function. She is dedicated to developing health system interventions for the early detection and management of sleep disturbances, aiming to mitigate cognitive decline and loss of function in later life.
