We have all heard of health apps that help providers with clinical decision support. The Buehler Center will soon debut its Health Policy Decision Support tool, which will provide campaign guidance to foster positive social change through health policy. This study is funded by USAID and will be used to create health policy to end food insecurity. We are partnering with stakeholders throughout low income countries in Africa, software development experts from Yale, and a Communication Science expert in Public Will at a Singapore University.
The center is partnering with the Mayer-Rothschild Foundation to develop measures of excellence that highlight person-centered care in long-term care facilities, reflect meaningful healthy aging and that significantly exceed minimum standards.
The Buehler Center is developing a screening tool to identify elder abuse, neglect and exploitation with superior psychometric properties that make it generalizable to any setting. We also are developing the software so providers can screen at point-of-care. The mobile device we are developing is interoperable with Electronic Health Records.
