Accelerated Program in Public Health
The Accelerated Program in Public Health (APHP) is a "4+1" program designed for high-performing Northwestern undergraduate students with public health interests.
Students in the APHP will have the chance complete MPH coursework and participate in public health program activities prior to completion of their undergraduate degree. Students will complete the MPH degree during their fifth year at Northwestern.
MPH coursework for students in the APHP begins during the summer quarter and students should apply during the winter quarter of their junior year.
Professional Experiences
The Applied Practice Experience (APEx) is a two-course sequence and 160 hours of practice work at an approved site. In the Culminating Experience (CE), you have the opportunity to bridge theory and practice with a synthesis "thesis" or "capstone"-style project.
