The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology's research activities reflect the diversity of faculty interests and clinical expertise, and continue to transform the field of gastroenterology. Divisional faculty members conduct clinical studies and basic science and translational research that encompass many subspecialties of gastroenterology and hepatology, including esophageal disease, swallowing disorders, pancreatic/biliary disease, liver disease and management of liver transplantation, irritable bowel syndrome and related health psychology services, inflammatory bowel disease and nutrition/intestinal absorption disorders.
