American Medical Women's Association (AMWA)

The American Medical Women's Association (AMWA) is the oldest multispecialty organization dedicated to advancing women in medicine and improving women’s health. Membership is open to physicians, residents, medical students, pre-medical students, healthcare professionals and supporters.

WFO partners with Feinberg medical students in the local chapter of AMWA by hosting student and faculty Networking Teas and facilitating one-on-one mentoring opportunities for interested faculty and benefitting from having student representation on our monthly WFO Steering Committee meetings. 

The annual AMWA/WFO Fall Tea event brings together women faculty and students to talk about careers, work-life balance and the challenges and joys of the medical field. For more details, email Irene Li Quan, the WFO AMWA student representative.
