Visiting Students

The Department of Emergency Medicine is excited to invite visiting students to complete an away rotation at Northwestern Memorial Hospital during the summer of 2023. We have three, four-week rotation blocks open to visiting students: 5/30 - 6/23, 6/26 - 7/21, and 7/24 - 8/18.  

All visiting students will receive a Standardized Letter of Evaluation (SLOE) from their rotation. Please note that all visiting student applications must be submitted through VSLO, which will open for applications on 3/14/23. All applications undergo an initial review by the Feinberg School of Medicine Visiting Students Office prior to being reviewed by the Department of Emergency Medicine. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Visiting students must be in their senior year, having completed core clerkships in internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, and OB/GYN. A letter of recommendation (from either an EM advisor or any faculty member with whom a student has worked clinically) is required.  

Please note that applications are limited to students from US medical schools accredited by the LCME or AOA. Students from schools outside the US must meet the requirements for Feinberg's Global Partners program.
