Lisa Beutler, MD, PhD

Lisa Beutler, MD, PhD is MSTP associate director and chair of the admissions committee. In this role, Beutler works to ensure a fair, holistic and comprehensive evaluation of the talented and diverse group of candidates who apply for admission to our program. She is closely involved with all aspects of the admissions process and works to maintain a process that is equitable and accessible to all applicants.

Beutler completed her MD/PhD training at the University of Washington and went on to residency and fellowship at the University of California-San Francisco.  She joined the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in 2019.

Dr. Beutler is a dedicated mentor to physician-scientists in training, serving as the dedicated Northwestern University Interdepartmental Neuroscience (NUIN) faculty adviser for MSTP students, and as a mentor to MSTP students for the past several years.
