I am a staff member in the medical admissions office
and I enjoy painting and drawing in my free time. While
growing up in rural Illinois, I enjoyed planting flower
seeds—usually nasturtium and zinnia seeds
(because they're the easiest to grow!)— and couldn't
wait to see what type of colorful flower arrangements I
could make with the blooms. The beauty of flowers is something
that just about anyone can appreciate, and the power of
flowers to inspire feelings of calm and well-being in an
individual is truly amazing.
