Artist's comments: I have been working in photography since 2001, when I saw the beautiful and powerful portraits of renowned photographer Herman Leonard. Shortly after my revelation, I had the great fortune to spend some time with Herman in New Orleans. All of my images are a reaction to the impulses and environment that shape my world. While many of my portraits are of individuals, they are metaphors for humanity as a whole, expressing the similarities that exist among all of us.
