Mission

Northwestern Information Technology partners with the research community to develop and deliver services and support to meet multidisciplinary research needs, enable discovery, and foster collaboration among researchers.

Services

• Data Science, Statistics, and Visualization
  Research Computing and Data Services supports Northwestern researchers in learning and applying data science, statistics, and visualization skills, methods, and tools across all research domains. From text to images, from lab measurements to surveys, we assist researchers with collecting, analyzing, and visualizing all types of research data.

  Data Management and Storage
  Northwestern University researchers receive services and support through every stage of the research data lifecycle. A collaborative partnership among Northwestern IT’s Research Computing and Data Services, Galter Health Sciences Library, University Libraries and Office for Research ensures support resources are available—from planning to publication and beyond.

  Computing and Software
  Northwestern students, faculty, and staff can access various computing resources, software and support services to carry out their work and research activities at the University without any expense or with discounted prices. Computing resources such as remote desktop environments, virtual machines and high-performance computer clusters, commercial applications and research software as well as support from research computing professionals are available to meet diverse computational needs. Additional computing and support is available for genomics researchers.

  Training and Consultation
  Are you looking to learn new data or computational skills? We provide regular workshops, access to online learning resources, and guides to help you learn new skills and use our services effectively.
