Call-for-applications - Junior faculty funding by the Leducq Transatlantic Network of Excellence “ReVAMP”
The Leducq Transatlantic Network of Excellence “ReVAMP”- Recalibrating vascular malformations and mechanotransduction by pharmacological intervention” is reaching out to emerging investigators who can apply for at least two years of funding from our network. Members of the consortium are fully committed to foster the growth of four external emerging investigators at the Assistant Professor/Junior Faculty with $50,000/investigator. Additional travel support will allow these investigators to participate in face-to-face bi-annual network meetings (next scheduled meetings are Vancouver, March 2023 and Rhode Island, August 2023). They will participate in monthly exchanges, online interactions and face-to-face meetings. Our network focuses on biomechanical signaling in the context of vascular malformations. We aim to gain a better understanding of the molecular underpinnings of vascular malformations and generate useful therapies. Tangible therapeutic approaches are being developed based on the novel idea that vascular cell responses to blood flow can be normalized using pharmacological modulation. Applicants are expected to contribute expertise and methodological advances in the fields of biomechanics, biophysics, vascular biology, live cell imaging, pharmacology, bioinformatics, or other relevant technologies.
More details about our network can be found at https://www.feinberg.northwestern.edu/sites/revamp/about/index.html and in a recent review article (PMID: 35426368: J Clin Invest. 2022;132(8):e160227. https://doi.org/10.1172/JCI160227). Applications should contain a CV and letter of motivation related to working within our consortium. Please address to Luisa Iruela-Arispe (arispe@northwestern.edu) or Miikka Vikkula (miikka.vikkula@uclouvain.be) no later than March 25th, 2023.
