The Northwestern University staff engagement survey, conducted in November 2017, provided valuable insights into how engaged Feinberg staff feel as well as an important benchmark from which we can improve.
The Feinberg staff member engagement score was 64 percent, with 62 percent of staff responding (there was a 73 percent participation rate when expanded to all of Northwestern). Northwestern is on par with the U.S. average across all industries and above the global average for higher education (59 percent). Staff had positive remarks regarding Northwestern’s reputation and the benefits offered.
The staff engagement survey measured 43 items mapped to 14 dimensions. The ranking of these dimensions informed where the Feinberg Staff Engagement Steering Committee plans to focus attention and resources.
