Generation NU

Mission Statement:

Our mission is to create a safe and supportive community where first-generation medical students can build a supportive network of peers, mentors, and resources to navigate the unique demands of being the first member in their family to attend medical school in the United States.

What We Do:

Since January 2021, Generation NU has been holding monthly virtual meetings attended by first-year and second-year medical students.  The meetings aim to build community, engage in conversations around themed topics, and share resources. Examples of upcoming topics are the road to residency, how to excel in medical school, and self-care and mental health.
