People-driven. Data-powered.

The mission of the Institute for AI in Medicine is to bridge computational methods with human expertise to advance medical science and improve human health.

We explore the application of machine learning, artificial intelligence, pattern recognition, genetic analysis and deep phenotyping of health data to build useful, responsible tools that put people first.

Land Acknowledgement

The Northwestern campus sits on the traditional homelands of the people of the Council of Three Fires, the Ojibwe, Potawatomi, and Odawa as well as the Menominee, Miami and Ho-Chunk nations. It was also a site of trade, travel, gathering and healing for more than a dozen other Native tribes and is still home to over 100,000 tribal members in the state of Illinois.

We are committed to honoring the contributions of Native American and Indigenous people to the Northwestern community and to educating ourselves, our colleagues, and partners about what we can all do to center and uplift Native American and Indigenous people and their communities.
