The library strives to advance leading-edge patient care, research and education through integrated partnerships, dedicated services and resources, and a deep commitment to innovation and excellence.

The NUCATS Institute provides scientists with consultative resources and expertise to accelerate how quickly transformative scientific discoveries make their way from the lab to patients and communities.

This guide serves as a tool for all members of the Northwestern community, especially those in the roles of university communicators. Its goal is to encourage educated choices on the use of language that is inclusive and free of bias.

To aid in success at Northwestern, the Office of Human Resources supports members of the community with a vast library of resources, including career development and wellbeing programs in addition to benefits like tuition reductions.

The Staff Engagement Committee provides opportunities to deepen connection among staff members who share the mission of improving human health and to address professional needs specific to Feinberg staff.

Northwestern University AccessibleNU works to provide students with disabilities a learning and community environment that affords them full participation, equal access and reasonable accommodation for their disabilities.

AWOME helps sustain a Safe & Healthy Learning Environment and bias-free curriculum for Feinberg medical students and the faculty who contribute to MD education. Feinberg MD curriculum is reviewed by the AWOME Task Force on Inclusion & Bias.

The financial aid team offers an array of resources to help students alleviate financial stressors and be proactive about money.

CAPS serves as the primary mental health service at Northwestern University with offices on both the Evanston and Chicago campuses. CAPS provides a set of core services, including clinical services, educational workshops and consultations for students.

The mission of The Graduate School’s office is to support the personal and intellectual growth of our graduate community.

Thomas Starzl Academy at the Feinberg School of Medicine offers young trainees access to the resources, financial support and critical mentorship they need to succeed in biomedical research careers. 

The organization fosters the growth, development and mentorship of women faculty at the medical school.

The center's mission is to advance health equity by collaborating with healthcare systems and academic partners to enhance care for diverse populations.

The Community Partnership Program at Northwestern Medicine works to remove barriers to better health by addressing access to care, fostering economic opportunities, and meeting community needs. Through initiatives like charity care, workforce development, and mindfulness training, the program seeks to create lasting health improvements and promote equity.

The Robert R. McCormick Foundation Center for Hope and Equity at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab addresses the needs of underserved Chicago communities, particularly BIPOC patients, by providing tailored resources for recovery and pathways to healthcare careers. It focuses on overcoming social determinants of health through comprehensive care, transportation assistance, and education to prevent rehospitalization.

Safe Space Training educates allies who support LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer) individuals in the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine community. The online training is open to students, trainees, faculty, and staff.

Northwestern University’s Out Network Chicago seeks to create and promote LGBTQ+ inclusive spaces and foster community among members of Northwestern University, Northwestern Medicine, and affiliates based at the Chicago campus.
