Advancing a Bias-Free and Inclusive Culture
The Office of Diversity & Inclusion provides several resources dedicated to creating an inclusive culture. One such resource is the myHR course: Advancing a Bias-Free and Inclusive Culture, available in the DEI playlist on myHR Learn. This course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to foster inclusivity at Feinberg School of Medicine. By the end of this course, participants will be empowered to recognize and challenge biases, support others as allies and contribute to building more inclusive spaces. Departments, institutes and centers are encouraged to have their members complete the course.
Another resource is Advancing a Bias-Free and Inclusive Culture: A Guide to Reducing Bias in Healthcare. This guide demonstrates how addressing bias in healthcare can enhance a health equity-focused workforce and cultivate health equity-minded leadership. The guide consists of a series of PDFs focused on advancing a bias-free culture.
The Office of Diversity & Inclusion is dedicated to fostering a safe, supportive, equitable and bias-free environment for students, faculty, and staff. A diverse workplace is a powerhouse for innovation, creativity and problem-solving. The true strength of diversity is fully realized when every member feels included, valued and heard.
