IT Projects
As part of the ever-changing field of information technology and critical to our dynamic campus environment, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine's Information Technology Office (Feinberg IT) continuously seeks to improve and innovate.
Browse our ongoing projects below to learn more about how we are working to deliver the most effective and up-to-date technology services and information resources.
Duo Desktop
Feinberg uses Duo Desktop (formerly Duo Device Health/DDH) to verify that desktop and laptop computers have supported operating systems, encryption, and anti-virus software before allowing access to multi-factor authentication-enabled university resources, including email.
Windows 11 Migration
Windows 10 will reach "End of Life" in October 2025, meaning it will no longer receive security updates from Microsoft. At that time, devices running Windows 10 will no longer comply with university policies and must be removed from the network. Upgrading to Windows 11 ensures continued security, compatibility, and access to modern features.
CyberArk Endpoint Privilege Management
With CyberArk EPM, users can install and update trusted and verified software applications without the need for local administrative rights or remote sessions with Feinberg IT.
