VA Shuttle Service

We offer daily, free shuttle service between the Lakeside VA and the Jesse Brown VA. All riders must present VA ID badges. First-time riders who do not yet have badges can present their NMH badges and letters of VA employment.

Lakeside Community-Based Outpatient Clinic

  • Address: 211 E. Ontario
  • Weekdays: Runs every half hour. First shuttle leaves at 6 a.m.; last shuttle leaves at 8:30 p.m.
  • Weekends & VA holidays: Runs every hour, leaving on the hour. First shuttle leaves at 7 a.m.; last shuttle leaves at 5 p.m.
  • There are no 11:30 a.m. or noon shuttles, as the driver will be on lunch break.

Jesse Brown Veterans Affairs Medical Center (Westside)

  • Address: 211 E. Ontario; Damen Avenue entrance
  • Weekdays: Runs every half hour. First shuttle leaves at 6 a.m.; last shuttle leaves at 8 p.m.
  • Weekends & VA holidays: Runs every hour, leaving on the half-hour. First shuttle leaves at 7:30 a.m.; last shuttle leaves at 4:30 p.m.
  • There are no 11:30 a.m. or noon shuttles, as the driver will be on lunch break.

After Hours

If the shuttle is not running, riders have the option of requesting a VA police escort from Jesse Brown to Lakeside VA. Inquire at the VA police window on the first floor.
